Correspondence, financial records, mining records and photographs relating to the operation of the mine under the direction of Alfred B. Peach, from 1921 to 1942. Includes business and personal correspondence of Alfred Peach as well as contracts, payroll records and injury reports. There are also metallurgical data, mine and claim descriptions, footage extension reports and several blueprints. Three photographs depict mining scenes and mining equipment.

The Vulture Mine, discovered in 1863 by Henry Wickenburg, is located twelve miles southwest of Wickenburg, Ariz. It was an active mine from 1863 to 1942, producing gold and silver. In the 1930s, it was a subsidiary of the Phelps Dodge Company and was managed by Alfred B. Peach. Mining operations ceased in 1942.
